      Jim’s notes: Clarine "Skip" Andersen skriver om han og foreldrene i "Thune Family in America": I USA kalte han seg Thomas. Two years later on March 17, 1851, their younger brother,Thron [Thomas], along with parents, Vilhelm Jonson and Kjersti Jorgensdatter Thune [Krosshaug] also left Vang, immigrated to America, and settled in Winneshiek County. Thomas homesteaded 80 acres in Glenwood Township, the S half of the SW quarter of Section 19, on land neighboring John's. Jorgen was known to be in the area about the same time. Two months after John and Martha's wedding, Sarah Garden became the bride to Thomas, while Mary Hovy became Jorgen's bride. These brothers celebrated their weddings on the same day, August 21, 1855.
