Promoted from Sergeant to 2nd Lieutenant in June of 1941. In the 1941 city directory for Lincoln, Nebraska, he was a salesman for Miller & Paine Inc. and resided at 1035 B. He was a major in the U.S. Army when he was reassigned from RyCom in the Pacific theatre to the U.S. in 1955. He married the 26 year-old Addie Rene Walker (at that time she was Addie Rene Givens) in Clark County, Nevada, in August of 1978. She died in 1993 at the age of 40.
