Zaia, 87, of Gaithersburg, died Monday, Sept. 14, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville. He was the husband of Audrey J. Zaia. Born Feb. 11, 1911, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Joseph and Carmella Zaia. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Richard R. Zaia of Katonah, N.Y.; one daughter, Phyllis Barr of Germantown; and four grandchildren. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
