- Frank Seifert, 41, another highly esteemed member of the Valier Community, died about 2:30 p.m. Monday, when a horse he was shoeing kicked him in the chest, killing him instantly. The accident happened on the Frank Hughes farm where the men were preparing for a pack trip. Friends were deeply shocked when news of the tragedy reached town.
Frank was born in Conrad on Jan. 23, 1922 and had lived in the Valier area all his life. He was engaged in farming.
He is survived by his widow, Beth; five children, Dale, 15; Cheryl, 14; Donald, 12; Lee, 9; and Sandra, 8; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Seifert of Conrad; sister, Mrs. Andy (Helen) Neyenhuis, Valier & Mrs. Larry (Eleanor) Conrad, St. Cloud, Minn.; his mother-in-law, Mrs. J. N. Starbuck, Valier, & grandfather, Mr. F. G. Nelson of Kalispell.
Funeral services will be held from the Valier Methodist Church at 2 p.m. this Thurs., Oct. 17, with Rev. R. Druckenmiller officiating. E. F. Wyse & Son are in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Valier, with graveside services conducted by the American Legion Post of Valier.
