  Notes	From her Find A Grave entry created by Eric B Williams: Esther J. Williams Former teacher, 84 Esther J. Williams, 84, of Astoria died Monday, Feb. 19, in Astoria. Mrs Williams was born May 18, 1905, in Velva, ND., the daughter of Dr. Stephen and Lillian Johns, and attended school in North Dakota. She graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1927 and taught high school in North and South Dakota. On July 10, 1929, she married Fernann Williams in Bottineau, N.D. He died in Bottineau in 1971. Mrs. Williams lived in Bottineau until she came to Astoria in 1975 to be near her son and his family. She was a member of Astoria First Presbyterian Church, Pi Beta Phi and Delta Phi Delta sororities and the National Honorary Society. Surviving are three sons, Barrett Williams, Atlanta, Ga., Dr. David Williams, Astoria, and Rodney Williams, Miami, Fla., two brothers, Stephen Johns, Garden Grove, Calif., and David Johns, Ridgecrest, Calif.; a sister, Lousie Phillips, Hemet, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Memorial services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Astoria First Presbyterian Church. Friends may pay their respects at Caldwell's Luce-Layton Mortuary in Astoria tonight until 8 and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Inurnment will be at Oak Creek Cemetery in Bottineau, N.D. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or the Columbia River Maritime Museum.
