  Notes	Duane C. Young, 83, LaMoure, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, in his home. Mr. Young was born Nov. 28, 1921, in Berlin, N.D., where he grew up and graduated from high school in 1939. He worked for Northwest Airlines, St. Paul. In 1943, he entered the U.S. Air Force. He served during World War II until his honorable discharge in 1945. He farmed in Berlin. On Feb. 14, 1947, he married Gwen Chappell in Fargo. They farmed in Berlin. They retired in 1989 and moved to LaMoure. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Larry (Bonnie), Encinitas, Calif., Kim (Rhoda), Curtis (Tami), both Berlin; three daughters, Paddy (Dale) Harris, Fort Lupton, Colo., Susan (Greg) Maier, Bismarck, Jody (George) Johnson, Fullerton, N.D.; two brothers, Wendell (Rachel), Berlin, John (Marcia), LaMoure; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In the 1950 census, he and his family lived in Henrietta in LaMoure County, North Dakota, next to Duane’s brother Wendell. Duane was a farm operator.
