Name Ingeborg AUSTINSON Gender Female Notes - In the 1880 census, she is probably the 16 year-old Ingebor Austinson, adopted daughter of Nichols and Anne Austinson of Pleasant Springs Twp, Dane County. Nichols’s father, Austin, 82, and brother Thrond, 35, are also in the household. (We have no idea who these Austinson are, nor, apparently does anyone contributing to the Ancestry family trees.)
The people married on 16 Dec 1880 in Dane County (Wisconsin Marriages in FamilySearch) were Ingeborg Austinson, daughter of John and Ingeborg Austinson, and Andrus J Ellingbo, son of John and Margarete Ellingbo. The ELCA records, from the church book, agree. This Ingeborg, shown in the 1880 census as adopted, was likely also the adopted daughter of “John and Ingeborg Austinson”, shown in this database as Osten Austin (#2659, Andrew’s brother) and Emma Haugen (#17804).
As shown in the notes for Emily Boe, Ingeborg and Emily are likely the same person and Andrew was only married once.
