  Notes	His descendants still live on the Ness farm in Verdal. In the 1801 census, he and his wife and daughter live on Næss Vestre. Ole and his brother Halvor ran Vesterness from 1797 or so until 1803 when Halvor bought part of Vesterness from Ole for 899 Riksdaler. The new farm was assessed in 1805, at which time, presumably, the independent existence of the new farm, initially called Southern Vesterness, later to be called Millomness, was established. Halvor received full title to the land on August 8, 1807. At that point, Halvor would run the Millomness farm and his brother Ole would run what remained of the original Vestnerness farm. In addition to the farm, Nina says that Ole was also a janitor for some organization or establishment. Ole died in 1820 and was declared bankrupt, a financial event that required Halvor to give up Millomness. According to Nina, Ole’s farm did not have many animals and the debt was large. The farm’s value was 800 spdl. There was not a west Ness farm in the 1865 Norwegian census, only Næss mellem and Næss østre.
