In the 1930 census, he was a farmer in Sverdrup Twp, Otter Tail County. The household consisted of Henry, 50, Anna M, 47, and Harvey N, 13. The 1934 Fergus Falls rural directory shows him owning 196.47 acres in section 31 of Sverdrup and Underwood townships. In the 1950 census, he was a widower. He lived with his son Harvey.
