- In the 1900 census, as Claus Holmes, he was living with his new wife (married for zero years) and her daughter on Washington Avenue in Minneapolis. Claus was a day laborer. He came to the U.S. in 1886.
He may be the Claus Holm who committed suicide with “whisky and strychnine” in Superior, Wisconsin, in April of 1904. He was Swedish and was from Minneapolis.
