- He registered for the draft on June 5, 1917, in Minneapolis as the 22 year-old Bertram Pulford. He was married with a child but he still gave his residence as his parents’ home, 1017 South 5th Street. He was tall and slender with blue eyes and brown hair. His occupation was “shufer” with the Hennepin something shop at 627 Hennepin.
In the 1920 census, he is single and living in Minneapolis. He is a chauffeur.
A Bertram Pulford, residing in King County, Washington, married Irene S Sigurdson of King County in Seattle on 27 November 1929.
In the 1930 census, an unmarried 30 year-old Bert Pulford was a roomer with a family in Minneapolis. He was brick layer. He was shown as born in New York, his father in Minnesota, and his mother in Minnesota.
He registered for the World War II draft in 1942 while living in Menomonie in Dunn County, Wisconsin.

Bert Pulford Dies of Heart Attack Bert Pulford, 52, 351 Fifth street north, died at noon today at Riverview hospital where he was taken Tuesday evening after suffering a heart attack that morning. He came to Wisconsin Rapids about four years ago and had been employed until recently as steward at the Elks club. He was born January 5, 1895, at Minneapolis, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Pulford, and married Nina Schuman at Stillwater, Minn., December 8, 1940. Surviving besides his wife are a
son by a former marriage, Donald Pulford, Seattle; three brothers, Fred and William, Minneapolis, and George, Los Angeles, and four sisters, Mrs. William Harris, Mrs. Arthur Johnson and Mrs. Nate Olson, all of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Lyle Hurlburt, Hollywood, Cal. Funeral arrangements, which had not been completed this afternoon, are in charge of Baker's.
Last Rites for Bert Pulford on Saturday Funeral services for Bert Pulford, 52, who died here Wednesday noon, will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Moravian church with the Rev. H. T. Kant officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. A veteran of World war I, he was a member of the American Legion, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Loyal Order of Moose. The body will be at the Baker chapel until 11 o'clock Saturday morning, and will be at the Moravian church from 12 o'clock until time of services.
