  Notes	On the birth record of her son born in 1905, she was called Alice, age 33, born in Canada. That would suggest a birthday for her in 1872. That must have been an error. In the 1910 census, she had had five children, four still living. Her sister Emily was living with her and Walter in that census. Her sister, Emily Barber, 23 and unmarried, was living with Alice and Walter in the 1910 census. Emily was a machine operator in a paper box factory, presumably the one that Walter worked at. She died as Alice Maud Ripley.
