She emigrated to the U.S. from Årdal in July of 1894 with her uncle (Anders Anfinson, b. 1876) and her maternal grandparents (Anfin Trondsen and Ingeborg Eriksdatter Nundal). They departed from Bergen on July 19th. Living with her mother and step-father in Iowa in the 1900 census. She is Lizzy Thompson, wife of Ole T Thompson, of Utica, Chickasaw County, in the 1910 census.
