  Notes	According the 1930 census, she and her parents were born in Minnesota. Her last name is shown as Lovelace on Edward Warren’s birth certificate. An Eva Lavlice was born in the town of Culver, St. Louis County, on 24 August 1904 to Roy Lavlice, 35, a laborer and his wife, Inez Holbrook, 19. Eva was the 2nd child born to this couple. In the 1920 census, she is the 15 year-old Eva Lovelace or Loveless, “niece”, living with Dennis, age 69, and Helen, age 40, Conely in an apartment at 3633 Columbus Avenue. Helen was born in Massachusetts to a father born in Louisiana and a mother born in Maine. Helen may be the sister of Eva’s mother’s father. A Dennis P Connelly died in Hennepin County on 17 Jun 1925. In the 1922 Minneapolis city directory, she is Evangeline Lovelace, a machine operator boarding at 1831 4th Avenue S. She is probably the Evangeline Thompson who died in Edmonds, Lynnwood, Snohomish County, Washington, on 13 September 1980. That Evangeline’s birth date was 24 August 1904 according to the SSDI. Her SS# had been issued in Washington. From the censuses, it appears that Eva/Evangeline’s mother, Inez, was born in March, probably 1885 or 1886, in Minnesota to Frank J Holbrook and Evangeline S.C. somebody-or-other. Evangeline is not listed with Frank in the 1900 census and is married to William Palmer of Devils Lake, North Dakota, in the 1910 census. Frank Holbrook is shown as born in Louisiana in most censuses; Evangeline S.C. is always shown as born in Maine. We don’t know where “Ebbe”, the sometimes-designation of her surname, came from.
