  Notes	An obit in the FFDJ: William Boen William Melvin Boen, 69, of Monrovia, Calif., formerly of Fergus Falls, died peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, at his home. He was born July 29, 1931, in Fergus Falls, the son of Melvin and Edith Boen. He graduated in 1949 from Fergus Falls High School. On June 3, 1949, he married Betty Joyce Kilde and the couple had three children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; and a grandson, Eric Benjamin Boen. Survivors include his three children, Deborah DeeAnn Brand of Glendora, Calif., Gary Alan Boen of Monrovia and Gordon William Boen of San Dimas, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Beverly Ann Eide of Moorhead. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Douglass and Zook Colonial Chapel of the Foothills in Monrovia.
