He was single and living at 372 South Main in Salt Lake City. He is described as of medium height, slender build, with brown eyes and black hair.

      In the 1920 census, Roy is single, 24, and a salesman at a retail store. He is a boarder with the Chester Cruikshank family living at 124 West 44th Street in Minneapolis. Roy and his father were born in Wisconsin, his mother in English Canada.

      In the 1920 and 1922 Minneapolis city directories, he was a salesman for The Plymouth. He lived at 124 West 44th.

      In the 1926 directory, he was a musician, still living at 124 West 44th.

      In the 1928 Denver city directory, he was a teacher at the International Institute of Violin. He lived with Angus and Lura Werrell at 1730 Ivy.

      In the 1930 Denver city directory, he was still a violin teacher. His place of employment was 319 Barth Building. He lived at 2057 Glencoe. (Angus and Anna Lura lived at 5638 16th Ave.)

      (Angus and Roy were brothers. There was another brother, William, who was a prominent Madison, Wisconsin, physician. He left an estate of $130,000 when he died in August of 1964.)

      In the 1930 Denver city directory, he and Eleanor live at “318 215 E 19th Avenue.” He was a music teacher at “319 809 16th.”

      In the 1934 and 1935 Denver directories, he and Eleanor live at 2057 Glencoe. He is a violin teacher at “320 809 16th.”

      In the 1937 Denver city directory, he and Eleanor live at 24 1245 Logan. Roy is a teacher at the Denver Institute of Violin and Guitar.

      In the 1939 directory, he and Eleanore live at 19 1335 Grant. He was a musician with the Federal Music Project.

      In the 1940 census, he and Eleanore live at 1335 Grant in Denver in what seems to be a fairly large apartment building. He was a musician in a W.P.A. band.

      In the 1956 directory, he and Eleanor live at 1245 Logan, apartment 10. He was a music teacher on the 3rd floor of the NBC Building.
