    • Adolph E. Hanak, 85 of Richland, Nebraska, died Sunday, August 16, 2015, at the Golden LivingCenter in Columbus.

      The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21 at 10:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus with Rev. Patrick Sparling and Rev. Peter Jurchen officiating. Interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Friday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. There will be a family prayer service on Friday at 10:15 AM at the church. Memorials are suggested to those of the donor's choice or family choice.

      Adolph was born April 12, 1930, in Madison, Nebraska, to Joseph and Kathe (Correll) Hanak. He was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Leigh.

      Adolph worked for a packing plant in Omaha before going to work for Bill Saalfeld Construction and then as a farmhand for Marvin Folken in Richland, Nebraska. He then went to work for Herb Klug for 32 years and retired from Colfax County Road Department after 12 years of employment.

      Adolph was united in marriage to Marietta Loveless on July 10, 1951, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church Rectory. The couple raised five of their own children, plus were “Dad & Mom” to many others. Adolph enjoyed participating in tractor pulls, collecting “stuff”, and working in his shop with his grandson Ryan. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle, and friend to many. Adolph was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus.
