  Notes	In the 1950 census, misindexed as Hugen, he and Marjorie and Teresa live in Portland. He is a tire serviceman for a wholesale tire supply company. In the 1956 Portland city directory, he and Marjorie live at 2629 NE 23rd Avenue. He was a salesman for Firestone Stores. His obituary in the May 3, 2005, issue of the Desert Dispatch: Our beloved husband, father and grandfather Ronald “Bud” Haugen, 78, passed away at home from multiple sclerosis on April 29, 2005, with his family around him. Bud was born in Portland, Ore., on Feb. 28, 1927. He served in the Naval Air Corp during World War II and later attended Portland State University. Bud worked in the tire business and was transferred to Southern California in 1959. He later opened his own giant tire business, Contractors Tire, in Alhambra. He and his wife, Marj, enjoyed many travels throughout the world, and together they earned their pilot licenses. He retired due to multiple sclerosis, and in 1979 they moved to Hesperia, where he enjoyed gardening and volunteered with the literacy program at Victor Valley College. He worked hard for a good quality of life in spite of his illness. Bud is survived by Marj, his wife of 58 years, and his three daughters, Terri and her husband, Chuma Agbodike; DiAne and her husband, Roger Gillespie; and Suzanne and her husband, Rick Lopez. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A private family service will be held. We ask that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made to the VNAIC and mailed to Victorville Hospice, 12421 Hesperia Rd., Ste. 11, CA 92392. Ronald was the biological father and grandfather of several other children and grandchildren that are neither listed nor counted in the above obituary.
