  Notes	Her obit in the San Francisco Chronicle: Beautiful Kay von Husen passed from our earth to God's kingdom on March 16, 2010, surrounded by her family, daughter Kavie, son Charles, sister Anne Major, nephew Jeff, niece Winnie and friends Dottie and Julie. Katherine Louise was born in Joliet, Illinois, Oct. 19, 1928, to her parents T.A. and Bertha Kvale. She moved with her family to Ojai, California in 1936. Kay married John von Husen in 1957 and raised her two children in Marin County. Her dogs were with her always, enjoying the spoils of living with a true animal lover. She had many friends, always opening her doors to neighbors and family. She was a caregiver to all who entered her life, lavishing them with good conversation, laughter and meals. Kay's dream of living in Incline came in 1989. She rarely left her beloved Tahoe, for this was her home in her soul. Kay is survived by her two children, 4 grandchildren, her sister, her dog Bear, numerous nieces and nephews, as well many wonderful friends. She will be missed more than she could ever imagine.
