Notes |
- His father was born in New York and his mother in Vermont. In the 1880 census Clark was a shingle-maker in Centralia, Wood County, Wisconsin. He was a carpenter in the 1900 census when he and Anna and his mother-in-law lived in Grand Rapids, Wood County, Wisconsin.
In the 1905 state census, he is still a carpenter in Wood County. The household consists of Clark, 51, his wife Annie, 46, her mother Annie, 75, and her brother Severt, 34, a “chore-boy.”
In the 1910 census, as Clark Lyons, he is still in Grand Rapids. The household consists of Clark, 55, his wife Anna, 51, and her mother Anna Williamson, 76. Clark was the “keeper” of a “flat building.”
In the 1920 census, as Clark Lyons, he and Anna are still in Grand Rapids. Living with them is Hertha Pagels, a nurse. Anna may not have been well at this point because her age is shown as “un” and there are no entries for the columns on whether or not she can read and write.
He has a biographical sketch in the History of Wood County.
