In the 1910 census, Inga is the Inga Anderson, age 19 and married for 2 years living with August and “Pellan” Paulson in Jefferson Twp, Monroe County, with her daughter Anna, 1. Inga is now shown as an adopted daughter and having been born in North Dakota. In the 1920 census, Inga is the wife of Marten Anderson (Martin Henry Anderson) and living in Monroe County, Wisconsin, with daughter Ana and son Herald. in the 1930 census, Inga is shown as the daughter of Pernilla Paulson, a widow born in Norway and the head of the household in the village of Melvina in Monroe County. Inga is 40, still married but with no husband living with her. Also living with Pernilla and Inga is Inga’s son Harold C, 11, and a farm laborer named Marius Haakenstad, “nephew.” In the 1940 census, Inga Anderson and Pernille Paulson (now 89), daughter and mother, still live in Melvina. Inga is still Inga Anderson and is still shown as married. Also in the 1940 census, Harold Anderson lives in Ely Precinct, White Pine County, Nevada, where he is a draftsman in the building and construction industry. Five years earlier, he had lived in Monroe County, Wisconsin. Pernille Paulson, 1851-1940, is buried in the Portland Lutheran Church Cemetery in Portland, Monroe County, Wisconsin.
