He is not listed as living at home with his mother and siblings in the 1909 Minneapolis city directory.
He registered for the draft in Detroit, Michigan, as George John Fautch on 12 September 1918. He was unmarried and was a self-employed painting contractor.
In the 1920 census, he is George J Fautch, an unmarried auto company worker living in Highland Park, Michigan.
He was single and his usual residence was 1616 2nd Street NE, the same residence as the informant for his death certificate, Marie C Fautsch. George had been a foreman at the Ford auto plant but he hadn’t worked for 12 years. He died of stomach cancer.
