  Notes	“M. O. Stangvik” was one of the signatories to the petition for incorporation of the Village of Dalton that was signed on January 23, 1905, and presented to the county commissioners on March 21, 1905. He operated a restaurant in Dalton at the time of the 1905 state census. According to that census, he had been in the state for 12 years and 1 month. His wife had been in the state for 28 years and 4 months. The family had been in that enumeration district for 2 years and 5 months. He was a butcher in a meat market in the 1910 census. At that time he was living in Dalton. He was a section laborer for the Great Northern Railroad and living in Dalton, Minnesota, when he registered for the draft in Fergus Falls on April 12, 1918. He was married to Christine at that time. He was described as tall and stout with blue eyes and dark hair. He was still a section laborer for the railroad in the 1930 census. He and Christine and Marvil lived in Fergus Falls. In the 1935/36 Fergus Falls city directory, he was a laborer for the Great Northern Railway. He and Christine lived at 501 Concord Street.
