John was a machine sander in the furniture industry. A John G. Bye married a Ruth Ella Hardin (neé Descombes), both of Multnomah County, in Vancouver, Clark County, Washington, on 21 Jul 1945. That Ruth died 6 Feb 1993 in Multnomah County as Ruth E Johnson. In the 1953 Portland, Oregon, city directory, John G Bye and his wife Ruth E lived at 2817 NW Thurman. He was a machinist.
