  Notes	In the 1903 Fergus Falls city directory, he was a clerk for Jackson & Bye (his father’s business) and boards with his parents at 702 Cascade Street S. In the 1905 Fergus Falls city directory, he was an employee at the state hospital. In the 1910 census, he was a 26 year-old farmer in Tumuli Twp in Otter Tail County. He registered for the draft as Arthur Wheeler Bye in Fergus Falls on September 12, 1918. He said that his age was 35 and that he was born on February 18, 1883 (which may be incorrect). His address was Dalton in Otter Tail County. He was the manager of Farmers’ Grain and Lumber. His nearest relative was Mrs. Jessie Bye of Dalton. He was of medium height and build with brown eyes and brown hair. He had lost two fingers. In the 1920 census he was a 36 year-old farmer in Tumuli Twp, Otter Tail County. In the 1930 census (indexed as Bys) he and his wife and three youngest daughters own a dairy farm in Hayland Twp, Mille Lacs County, Minnesota. Arthur is 46, Jessie is 49. An Arthur Bye, b. 18 Feb 1884, died in August of 1965, location unknown although his SS# had been issued in Illinois before 1951. Arthur was the informant for his mother’s death certificate.
