    Notes
    • He was Nelse E. Williamson, living with his mother in Amherst village, Portage County, in the 1900 census. He was a bartender. Couldn’t find him in the 1910 or 1920 censuses.

In the 1930 census, he is probably the 64 year-old Nels Williamson living in a boarding house in the village of Amherst. Nels’s occupation seems to be laborer in a pool room.

His obit was in the 29 Aug 1935 edition of the Stevens Point Journal:

Nels Edwin Williamson, 68, a resident of Amherst most of his life, died at 12:45 o’clock Monday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Anna Couch, at Amherst. He had been in poor health for the past month but his condition was not serious.

Mr. Williamson was born at Amherst on April 23, 1867, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Boia Williamson. He attended Amherst schools and later worked in logging camps. For several years he resided in Montana. For the past few years he had made his home with his sister, the only remaining relative of his immediate family.

Funeral services were held at 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at his home and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. C. E. Olsen officiated.

Among the relatives from far away who attended the funeral were Byron Couch of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. John Shellhammer and sons of Port Edwards, Mrs. Mary Lyons and Sever Williamson of Wisconsin Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Dillon and Miss June Dillon of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. James Gleason and Miss Margaret Gleason of Fond du Lac.
