  Notes	In the 1880 census, as Rachel Lain, she was 18 and boarded with a family in Minneapolis. She worked in a cotton mill. Also boarding with her and also working in a cotton mill was the 16 year-old Mary Lain. In the 1885 state census, she is shown as born in Norway. In the 1900 census, she had had 8 children, 5 still living. Those numbers are 9 and 5 in the 1910 census. In Grace’s death certificate, Rachel’s maiden name is Ellingboe. In Wallace’s birth certificate, Rachel’s maiden name is Lein. In Ella’s death certificate, Rachel’s maiden name is Lien. On Rachel’s death certificate, her father’s name is Ole Olson Lien. She died of heart failure. The informant for her death certificate was H A Hoglund of Kerkhoven.
