  Notes	He was a farmer in Wang Twp, Renville County in the 1900 census. He came to the U.S. in 1862. He probably had a brother Tomas or Torus who was farming in Lyon County in the 1900 census. In the 1905 state census, the family still lived in Wang Twp and still were called Loftsgarden. The family consisted of Halvor, 55, Julia, 49, Ole, 24, Gina, 20, Randine, 17, Theodor, 12, Helina, 9, and Thea, 4. In Gena’s death certificate, he was called Halvor Ellingboe. On his death certificate his parents were unknown. The informant for his death certificate was Erland Knutson, husband of Halvor’s daughter Thea Sylvia. He died of pneumonia.
