In the 1950 census, he, as Palmer Nundahl, and his family lived in Jefferson Twp, Vernon County, WIsconsin. According to his obit in the La Crosse newspaper, he and his wife farmed in the town of Kickapoo for one year and from 1935 to 1973 they farmed in the town of Jefferson. In 1973 they moved to Viroqua. An newspaper article from April of 1934 notes that Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Nundahl would move in to the house “near Mason City” formerly occupied by Clarence Mikkelson. Mikkelson, a patrolman, had moved to Viroqua.
