  Notes	Her mother’s maiden name was Ellingson. From the Faribault Daily News, Oct. 2, 1968: Funeral services for Christine Kasa were held at 2p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Vang Lutheran Church with the Rev. Terence Fretheim officiating. Mr. Kenneth Flom rendered one vocal selection, accompanied by Mrs. Arlie Egland, who served as church organist. Clarence Egtvedt, Andrew Hoverstad, Abraham Bakken, Halvor Lillesve, Edmund Berg and Ole Remme served as pallbearers. Interment took place at the Vang Cemetery. Christine Kasa passed away suddenly at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, at 316 Pine Street in Red Wing, on Wednesday evening, Sept. 18, at the age of 76 years. She had resided with her daughter for the past year. Daughter of Olaf and Mary Ellingson Wangen, she was born in Goodhue County on Jan. 28, 1892, and was confirmed at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls in the year of 1907. On March 25, 1909, she was married at Cannon Falls to Bennie Kasa. They established their home in Warsaw township where she has resided with the exception of the past year. She is survived by one son, Harry Kasa and one daughter, Bernice (Mrs. Halvor Dalbotten), both of Red Wing; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; also three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Lysne and Mrs. Nettie Otis, both of Northfield, and Mrs. Emma Truax of Minneapolis; and three brothers, Arnold and Myron Wangen, both of Cannon Falls, and Carl Wangen of Red Wing. Her husband preceded her in death June 17, 1967. One son and one grandson also preceded her in death.
