  Notes	See notes for Gust in which Carl describes clearing land. Carl had a winter residence in Texas at 2100 S. Bridge Avenue, Weslaco, TX 78596. According to the 1940 census, Carl’s education ended after 10th grade. He registered for the draft in Brainerd on October 16, 1940. He was described as 5’ 8” tall and 160 lbs. He had gray eyes, blond hair and a ruddy complexion. Carl’s Social Security number was issued in California before 1951. His last residence was Naples, Florida, so apparently his nephew Bill was managing Carl’s finances. Bill made distributions from Carl’s estate in 1999.
