In the 1910 census, Ingvald E. Foss and his family were living in the city of Lakota in Nelson County, North Dakota. He was a retail merchant in a retail store. He came to the U. S. in 1882. Living with the family, and called a “roomer,” was Alma’s sister Ida.
He may be the Ingvald Foss who registered for the draft in Klickitat County, Washington, on September 12, 1918. That Ingvald was married, was a farmer, and was a naturalized citizen, born (somewhere) on 2 Oct 1880.
In the 1920 census, he and Alma and Monina were living in the village of Mabton in Yakima County, Washington. He was a cashier in a bank.
In the 1930 census, he is divorced and is a bank manager in Mabton in the Yakima Valley.
An article in the Spokane newspaper on his death says that he died following an operation. He was vice president and manager of the Community State Bank of Mabton which he had helped organize.
