  Notes	She is shown as born in Illinois in the 1920 census. In the 1925 Iowa state census, she is shown as having gone to school through the 8th grade. In the 1930 census, she and Sam are still in Barton Twp, Worth County and she is still shown as born in Illinois. Roy is still single and living at home. Also living with them is Sarah’s mother. In the 1940 census, she and Sam and Donald still live in Barton Twp, Worth County, Iowa, in the same house in which they had lived in 1935. Sam is a farmer, Donald is a seed corn salesman. She survived her brother Henry. He died in September of 1953. Her obit called her a life-long resident of Worth County and that she had been living with her son Roy in St. Ansgar at the time of her death.
