Viola Georgia Toso was born December 30, 1919, in Maplewood (MN) Township to Martin and Mabel (Weik) Toso. She graduated from Pelican Rapids, MN, high school with honors. Viola then attended Moorhead State College and graduated with her Master's degree in elementary education. Viola married Loris Lowe who was killed in action in WWII. She was also married to Rodney Gilberts, Marvin Honrud and Reuben Swanson, all who are deceased. Viola taught school for more than thirty years in Pelican Rapids and Dilworth, MN. Viola was active in the Our Savior's Lutheran Church quilting group. She liked rosemaling and she participated in activities at the Sons of Norway. Viola was also a world traveler and enjoyed visiting new places. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William and Vernon; and a sister, Evelyn. Memorial Service: Thursday, June 24, 2010, at 2 PM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead. Inurnment: Bagstavold Cemetery, rural Erhard
