- Hill High School (St. Paul Hill-Murray), 1965. Attended the University of Minnesota for one year before enlisting in the U.S. Army. After being wounded early in his service, he spent five months recovering in a military hospital.
Killed in action in the Viet Nam war. Served in the U.S. Army Vietnam, B Company, 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division. Service number 55849758. Rank at death was SP4.
Died from multiple fragmentation wounds/mine, casualty number 10859. He had been in Vietnam a little less than seven months.
He is listed on Panel 17E, line 080 of the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C.
