At the time of the 1952 Minneapolis city directory, Alton and Gertie lived at 2646 Monroe Street and Alton was a toolmaker for Minneapolis Honeywell.

9003 He was living at home with his father and step mother in the 1900 census. He was a shoe salesman. In that census he was shown as born in May of 1881.

In the 1910 census, as Charles W Mouseaux, he and Rose live in Minneapolis. Charles is a shoe buyer. They have no children.

His death certificate shows that he was a shoe salesman. He died of intestinal TB. The informant for his death certificate was Marie Mousseau.

9006 He was living at home with his parents and siblings in the 1940 census. He had had three years of college and had a public (probably WPA) job doing typing for a school. He earned $270 in 1939 for 18 weeks work.

In the 1957 Minneapolis city directory, he and Marvel lived at 4107 Pleasant Avenue. He was a department supervisor at the University of Minnesota.

Not listed in the index of Minnesota deaths.

Ann Johnson (later Ellingboe) babysat for Vernon and Marvel when they all lived in Washington, D.C., in the ‘40s.

He and Helen and Kenneth still lived in North Mankato in the 1940 census. He was a truck driver doing general hauling. Also living with the family was the 40 year-old Frances Dennison, sister-in-law.

In the 1960 Mankato city directory, he was the supervisor in charge of the North Mankato Water Works.
