Ellingboe, Richard E. "Dick" age 80 of Prior Lake. Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at All Saints Senior Living, Shakopee. Born February 22, 1941 in Benson, Mn. Preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Hazel, Sister, Patricia Schuman, Nieces, Anita Einbu and Margo Howe. Survived by daughter, Erika Ellingboe (Steve Williams), grandson, Steven Williams, former wife, Michele Ellingboe. Dick enjoyed working on classic cars, motorcycle riding to Sturgis and Route 66. Enjoyed football and NASCAR racing. Worked for City of Mpls Police Department for 27 years. He retired in 1998. Special thanks to All Saints Senior Living in Shakopee and Grace Hospice for their care and guidance. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring. Interment will be at Fort Snelling.

Andrew and family were living in the city of Crookston in Polk County, Minnesota at the time of the 1900 census. The children were still in school and Andrew was a saloon-keeper. (He was a bartender in the 1895 state census.)

In the 1905 state census, the family is living in Crookston. Andrew is a teamster. Tillie is a clerk.

In the 1910 census, the family is living at 511 Woodland Avenue in Crookston. Julian is a machinist in the automobile industry and Matilda is a saleslady at a dry goods store. Andrew is a bartender in a saloon.

In the 1920 census, he is Andrew J. Ellingboe, 62, living in the city of Crookston, Lowell Twp, Polk County. He is retired. Living with him is his wife Emily, single son Julian, 27, a race-car driver, and his daughter Mathilda, 34, and her husband, William L. Gilbert, 36, a railroad conductor.

In the 1930 census, he and Emily are living with their daughter Matilda and her husband in Crookston.

The informant for his death certificate was Jules Ellingboe. Andrew died of heart exhaustion.

8590 He may have been institutionalized if he ended up in Clark County. The current Clark County campus was constructed in 1922 as an insane asylum. (It is considered one of the most haunted places in Wisconsin.) However, there may have been an insane asylum in Clark County before that.
