Matt N. Madson Passes Beyond
Following a siege of heart trouble of some months duration, Matt N. Madson passed away at the local hospital Friday evening. He was 72 years of age and had been a resident of this county and Highwood section since 1904, being a highly respected citizen of that community. Funeral services were held from the Louther chapel on Monday afternoon and interment made in Riverside cemetery.
Matt N. Madson was born April 26, 1862, at Martel, Wisconsin, the son of Nels Madson, of Norwegian ancestry. His early life was spent in that state. He was married June 18, 1891, at Martel, to Elizabeth Myhre. They came to Montana in 1904 and have resided here since.
Relatives surviving are the widow; three sons, Elmer of Lupfer, Mont., Orrie of Los Angeles, and Morris of Highwood; four daughter, Mrs. Anna Peterson of St. Paul, Mrs. Elmira Lamourex of Yakima, Wash., Mrs. Hilda Bach and Mrs. Dorothy Bach, both of Highwood; twelve grandchildren, mourn his passing. The many friends of the family extend sympathy in this hour of sorrow. | MADSON, Mads Nilsson (I43968)
