Funeral services for Oscar O. Lockrem, who passed away at his home in the Northfield community Wednesday, January 6, were held at St. John's Lutheran church Saturday, January 9. The Rev. B. R. Biorn, pastor, officiated at 12:30 o'clock. Burial was made in the Northfield cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth Lockrem, Lloyd Lien, Orlando Lien, Harley Hellerude, Ove Hellerude and Orven Hellerude. Oscar O. Lockrem was born January 2, 1894 in Valley Grove in the Nerstrand community. He attended the public schools of the area and became a farmer. On February 12, 1923, he was married to Hilda Hellerude at Faribault. They made their home on the farm on Northfield Route No. 2 for 30 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church. Mr. Lockrem is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. James Wakefield (Hazel) of Winnipeg, can., and Mrs. Richard Gallarane (Beverly) of North Andover, Mas.; three sons, Merton Lockrem of St. Paul and Eldon and Burnell at home.
