He and his family are on p. 182 of the 1840-1844 Household Examination.

He and his family were in the Olsäter section of the Övre Ullerud Household Examination, 1845-1852 (p. 204), although it seems that they moved away from or lost title to that residence in 1852. In the 1850-1860 Household Examination, Magnus Andersson, b. 31 May 1816, is the leaseholder of the residence of Lena (who died during that decade) and her sons Anders and Jan. Perhaps Magnus is a younger brother of Jonas.

He and Hilda were still there in the 1950 census. Their three unmarried sons, Eldon, Merton, and Burnell were living with them as farm helpers.

Funeral services for Oscar O. Lockrem, who passed away at his home in the Northfield community Wednesday, January 6, were held at St. John's Lutheran church Saturday, January 9. The Rev. B. R. Biorn, pastor, officiated at 12:30 o'clock. Burial was made in the Northfield cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth Lockrem, Lloyd Lien, Orlando Lien, Harley Hellerude, Ove Hellerude and Orven Hellerude. Oscar O. Lockrem was born January 2, 1894 in Valley Grove in the Nerstrand community. He attended the public schools of the area and became a farmer. On February 12, 1923, he was married to Hilda Hellerude at Faribault. They made their home on the farm on Northfield Route No. 2 for 30 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church. Mr. Lockrem is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. James Wakefield (Hazel) of Winnipeg, can., and Mrs. Richard Gallarane (Beverly) of North Andover, Mas.; three sons, Merton Lockrem of St. Paul and Eldon and Burnell at home. There are also one sister, Mrs. Oscar Hellerude of Dennison and brother, Christ Lockrem of Nerstrand.

In the 1940 census (indexed as Arcanbo), he and his family lived in Minot, North Dakota. He was a traveling agent for the “Western Wing and Inspection Bureau.” Five years earlier, they all had lived in Cedar Rapids.

He was a widower in the 1920 census.

He is probably the Ove Qvale, 54, living in Benson, Swift County, in the 1930 census. His wife is Julia, 53, and his daughter is Ardel, 13. He works as a salesman for a health products company.

He died of a heart attack at the home of his daughter Opal Olson. He had been visiting at the Olson home since November.

A Christopher Hollen, purportedly born 31 Jan 1856 (according to his gravestone), is buried in the West Norway Lake cemetery. He died 6 Aug 1916.

In the 1910 census, he is C E Hollen, age 55, a farmer in Kerkhoven Twp, Swift County, Minnesota. He owns his farm, albeit with a mortgage. He came to the U.S. in 1866.
