Harold Ellsworth Quill
Mr. Quill, 70, died of congestive heart failure on Friday, November 7, 2003 at Carolinas Medical Center.
Hal was born March 12, 1933 on a farm in Hayfield, MN. He is the son of the late Harold O. and Ethelyn Quill and brother of Ron Quill.
He served in the United States Armed Forces in Korea from 1953-55. Upon completing his service to his country, he attended the University of Minnesota, received a B.B.A. in 1958, and subsequently earned his CPA.
Hal retired as Executive Partner/CFO with McGladrey & Pullen, an accounting firm where he worked for 34 years until 1992. Harold celebrated life. He was grateful for the opportunities he received. He enjoyed traveling, being with his family, relatives and friends in Charlotte and at their Lake City home in Minnesota. He served the Lord as an Elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church. He was active in all the communities in which he lived.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Cooper Quill, three children, Monica Quill Kusakabe from Seattle, WA; Matthew Quill from San Antonio, TX; Martha Quill McDade from Chicago, IL; and eight wonderful grandchildren. | QUILL, Harold Ellsworth (I36787)

Harold Leroy Svare, 69, Pelican Rapids, died Monday at the Pelican Valley Health Center. Services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. Gerry Rafftery officiating. Burial will be in Ringsaker Cemetery.
Mr. Svare was born in Pelican Rapids on April 28, 1906, a son of Alfred and Georgine Svare. He married Gladys Toso on Oct. 11,1936, at South Immanuel Church and she died May 4, 1975. He was a lifelong resident of the Pelican Rapids area, working in the gas station business for over 20 years.
He is survived by one son, Wayne, Pelican Rapids; eight sisters and one brother; Mrs. Charles (Cora) Loken, Fergus Falls; Mrs. Cliff (Edna) Kieland, Seattle; Mrs. Hans (Adeline) Sethre, and Mrs. James (Lenore) Ogard, both of Ada; Mrs. Quentin (Florence) Weberg, Hopkins; Mrs. Alvin (Mildred) Sethre, Carlisle; Mrs. Howard (Lorraine) Eide, and Mrs. Edwin (Alfreda) Eide, both of Fergus Falls, and Vince Svare, Ada.
The Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, is in charge of arrangements.

Harold Rix, 77, of Clitherall died Tuesday, November 20, 2001 at the Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls.
He was born September 3, 1924 on a farm near Doran to Roy and Hattie Rix. He attended country school in Western Township and then in Star Lake Township. He worked as a farm laborer before entering the service. During WWII he served in the U.S. Army with the 10th Armored Division, Third Army, in France, in the Normandy Invasion and in Germany.
After his military service, he farmed by Parkers Prairie and then was employed with various farm implement and auto dealerships as a mechanic. He managed the Phillips 66 Station in Battle Lake and then purchased Harold's Auto Repair in Underwood where he worked until his retirement. After retiring he did some mechanic work at his home and also raised beef cattle.
He is survived by a daughter, Hattie Rix of Alexandria and two brothers, Francis Rix of Clitherall and Everon (Toby Ann) Rix of Blytheville, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two wives, Esther and Jean.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service
Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls
