In November of 1965, he and three other men formed a firm called R. J. Ellingwood Investments operating at 10135 Oak Park Ave. in Northridge, California. The firm’s name was fictitious and was made up of parts of the four men’s surnames.
Supposedly, he was originally to be named Thomas Carlisle, but that name was crossed out on birth certificate filing. Retired in 1989 from North American Rockwell.
