7120 Fuller must have been her previous husband’s name. Anna’s father was Andrew Lindberg.

Living with August in the 1905 state census. Her parents were born in Sweden.

Not living with August in the 1910 census. She is not mentioned in August’s obituary.

She was referred to as Annie Engel, widow, in the probate records of August’s estate. Those records also state that, as William Engel’s opinion, “Anna Engel left her husband about eleven years ago and she has not lived with him since. By her act of leaving her husband, Anna Engel forfeited her homestead rights.”

She appealed that opinion by a letter to the probate judge dated 14 Jun 1916 from Minneapolis. She claimed that she was lawfully entitled to the estate, alluded to expense money not given to her and also to August having “offered my lawyer a big sum of money if I would give him a divorce.” She said she put a stop to it. She said that her address at the time was 1206 West 28th Street in Minneapolis.

William, in response, deposed, under oath, that “during all the time since his wife left him August Engel had to hire a housekeeper.”
FULLER, Anna (I8682)
