The Storey County death and birth records show a birth to an “A Hand” on 6 May 1889.

Horace’s middle name may have been William.

On Dec. 24, 1877 he was united in marriage with Sara Jane Koehn or Cain. To this union 11 known children were born with only 6 living to adulthood.

It is unknown if Sara married again, or where she is buried. She passed in Gosper County, Nebraska on April 21, 1927. 

In the 1885 Nebraska census, he and his family lived in Stewart in York County.
