Eula Jane Chastain Cox, died Monday morning in Phoenix, Arizona.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday in the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp Funeral Home. Final commital rites will be accorded on the family plot of the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma.
Casketbearers will include Wallace May, Robert Robinson, Kenneth Robinson, John Maples and John Maples, Jr.

Eula Martha Strom died on the morning of 12 October 2014. She was a resident of Stillhouse Rehabilitation and Health Care. She was married to Gordon B. Strom, Sr. for sixty-eight years. She was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, friend, and provider. She is preceded in death by one son, James Edward and her husband Gordon. She is survived by her son, Gordon Bert Strom, Jr. MD and his wife Sandra and by her grandchildren: Kelly and her husband Ben and four great grandchildren (Nathan, Andrew, Katie, and Gracelyn George), Paul and his wife Jennifer and great grandchildren Taylor and Evan, and Jordan and her husband Alex and great grandchild Judah.
Martha was originally from Port Neches, Texas, where she attended elementary school. After the death of her father, she moved to Carthage, Mississippi, and attended high school. She worked in the business office of Bell South Telephone for a number of years. While employed and attending school in Jackson, Mississippi, she met and married Gordon. They were longtime members and served on the founding board of Broadmeadow United Methodist Church in Jackson. Eva graduated from the normal school of Crosby-Ironton High School with the class of ‘24 whose commencement services were held on Thursday night, May 29, 1924. Also graduating that night, in the high school class, was Helga Landstrom (#110) and Lillian Everson (#50).
Eva and Lil were close. Eva stayed out on the Cedar Lake farm with Lil in the summer. Lil stayed with the Gustads in town while she went to high school.
Eva was a school teacher. In 1927, she was teaching in Ogilvie, Minnesota, according to a C-I alumni book of that year.
In 1928, and in the 1930 census, she was a teacher at Joliet, Carbon County, Montana.
Her birth certificate was amended from “Babe” on July 25, 1940. Lived in a nursing home in Kenyon in the early 1990s. It was the Kenyon Sunset Home, 127 Gunderson Blvd., Kenyon 55946. Had Alzheimers.
Eva Hartland was Elaine Everson’s godmother.
Eva was the informant for her mother’s death certificate.
Eva lived in Sun City Arizona and moved back to Minnesota when her health declined.

Evangeline J. Cooper, 64, of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
She was born on June 4, 1943, in Pelican Rapids, the daughter of Henry and Gladys (Olson) Toso. She was baptized at Maplewood Lutheran Church and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.
She attended rural school District 161 in Maplewood Township, and graduated from Fergus Falls Senior High School. She earned her LPN degree at Wahpeton State College of Science. She also graduated from Ritter’s School of Beauty.
In 1963, she married Robert Lee Dunker Sr. They were the parents of two children, Robert Lee Dunker Jr. and Dawn Marie Dunker. In 1969, she married Donald Cooper. They were the parents of one child, Donald “Jamie” Cooper.
She enjoyed crocheting, camping, crafts, garage sales, auctions and spending time with grandchildren and friends.
Evangeline was employed at the Barnesville Nursing Home, St. Lukes Hospital in Fargo, Otter Tail Lake Nursing Home and the Regional Treatment Center.
Preceding her in death were her parents; Henry and Gladys; a granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Cooper; and two nephews, Mike Lindberg and Dale D. Lindberg.
Survivors include her son, Robert Lee Dunker Jr. (Barb) of Billings, Mont., daughter, Dawn Marie Birch (Deron), Elizabeth, and son, Donald “Jamie” Cooper of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Glen and Jake Dunker, Dakota Birch, and Jessica, Jason, and Aric Cooper; four brothers, Chester (Donna) Toso, Gary (Donna) Toso, Michael (Darlene) Toso, and Mark (Susan) Toso; one sister, Verna Lindberg; three aunts, Ruth, Bette and Elda Mae; numerous nieces, nephews; and a host of friends.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home chapel.
