It seems odd that she named both of her two youngest daughters Marit. Such would not seem to be required by the naming convention. It’s the cause of confusion among genealogical researchers, especially because both Marits had daughters name Sidsel. (dwfrench1 was not confused.)

It’s possible that the health of the older Marit, then two years old, was so questionable in late 1825 that her parents went ahead and reused the name, assuming the older girl’s imminent demise. But still …
