A collision between a pickup truck and a truck and trailer on Highway 99 on the outskirts of Stockton took the lives of two occupants of the smaller vehicle. The victims were Alfred Flolo, 62, a Stockton contractor, and his employe, Jose Rodriquez, 42, also of Stockton. Flolo, the driver was thrown from the pickup, while Rodriquez was pinned inside the cab. Flolo’s pickup truck crossed the centerline. | FLOLO, Alfred (I33561)

Mrs. Marie Saxhaug, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Sunday at Grand Rapids following a stroke. Services will be held at Grand Rapids Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. Saxhaug was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lauritzen and grew up in Fergus Falls. She was a sister of Mrs. Samuel P. Adams of Fergus Falls.
Survivors include a son, John L. of Grand Rapids, and a daughter, Catherine Anderson, of Minneapolis. Her husband, John L. Saxhaug, died three years ago. | LAURITZEN, Marie (I13261)

A curious entry in the margin of her confirmation record suggests that she may have emigrated in September of 1915.
As Mrs. Olga LaPage of Mellette, South Dakota, she was granted citizenship in Redfield, South Dakota, on 18 September 1927. According to the 1930 census, she and her daughter Ada had come to the U.S. from Norway in 1919.
She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Melette.

She is listed in the 1895 state census as still living with her father, step-mother, and siblings in Renville County.
She is not listed with her father and step-mother in the 1900 census although Annie and Gustav are. Neither she nor her sister Annie were living with her father and step-mother in the 1905 state census.
