Dallas, TX - Timothy "Chef Ty' Patrick Thoren, a long-time resident of Dallas, TX, passed away on July 29th, 2021, at the age of 66. Tim was born on March 14,1955, in Ithaca, NY, and was preceded in death by his parents; Ted and Jeanne Thoren. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patti Thoren, his three children; Kim Thoren (Ashley), Heather Balko (Gabriel), Tyler Thoren (Nelia); his two grandchildren, Ashton Thoren and Landen Thoren, and his four siblings; Tanna Thoren Clark, Terry Thoren, Tracy Thoren Dodd, and Tamara Thoren Passero. Tim (Chef Ty) spent many years pursuing his passion as an executive chef, working for the Fairmont Hotels, the Medallion Hotel, the Hyatt Regency, and the Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel. He also spent 14 years as the Executive Resort Chef at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas. Tim (Chef Ty) was the recipient of 30+ awards in food and food presentation, including a nomination for the James Beard Foundation Award. Danette Lynn Soine, 55, of Lake City, passed away on October 1, 2020 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Danette was born on September 7, 1965 to Dennis & Sandra (Haglund) Soine in Lake City. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1984 and then attended RCTC in Rochester for a degree as a Social Worker. She married Terry Prebe on August 10, 1997. Danette worked for many years in home health care and babysat in the Lake City area. Danette enjoyed reading, playing computer games, and researching things.
She is survived by her husband Terry; her daughter, Cassandra Soine of Lake City; her mother, Sandra (Jerry Buck) Soine of Lake City; 2 sisters, Denise (Neil) Anderson of Seattle, WA., Darcy Soine of Lake City; a very special friend Annie. She is preceded in death by her father, Dennis Soine, her daughter, Angelica Soine, her maternal and paternal Grandparents.
