In the 1885 Nebraska state census, he (indexed as Rumsey) and his family lived in Webster in Dodge County. The household consisted of Jacob, 55, Annie, 43, Ferdinand, 19, Mathis, 18, Henry, 15, Bertha, 12, Cora, 10, Frank, 8, Anton, 6, Martin, 3, and John, 1.

An IGI source says his birth was 22 Feb 1830 in Reinsheim. That is also the source for the death date. The 22 Feb 1830 date is also on the cemetery records.
RUMERY, Jacob (I8249)

4710 Could not find this Minnesota birth record.

There are no entries in Ancestry for a Lucille Tapelt.

In the 1930 census, she is probably the Lucile “Tapert”, age 3 years and 2 months, living as a “lodger” (foster child) in the home of Robert and Vivian Estes in Minneapolis. Lucile is shown as born in Minnesota. Her father is shown as born in Virginia and her mother is shown as born in the U.S., with a question mark. There are two other young children shown as “lodgers” with the Esteses.
