Called John Christensen Jorenbye or Jorandby when he married Anna Marie Olsen Dalem oin Modena, Wisconsin, near Pepin.

In the 1880 census, he was John Christensen, a farmer in the town of Dover in Buffalo County, Wisconsin. He was shown as age 38, his wife Annie was age 48. Their children were Annie, 11, Chris, 3, Tilda, 2, and Ole 1½.

May be the Olai J. Thompson, age 19, who was a druggist clerk in Fergus Falls in the 1880 census. This Olai was born in Minnesota and both of his parents in Norway. He was a boarder with a druggist named A. Shore.

In the 1910 census, may be the Olai Thompson, 49, living with his wife Mary in Seattle. They live in a house that they own, have been married for 26 years, and have no children. Olai works in the grocery business. Olai was born in Minnesota and both of his parents were born in Norway. Mary, also 49, was born in South Dakota and both of her parents were born in Norway.

In the 1930 census, he is probably the Olai J. Thompson, a 69 year-old widower, living alone in Elliott, King County, Washington. This Olai was born in Minnesota and both of his parents were born in Norway. He was first married at age 23.

Probably is the Olai J. Thompson, age 91, who died in Washington on December 10, 1951. The death certificate number shown here assumes that.

He and Sigrid left for the U.S. a week or so after their marriage.

In the 1860 census, as John Johnson, he and Sarah live in Holden Twp, Goodhue County. He is 24, she is 26, and living with them is a 6 year-old girl named Emma, born in Wisconsin. The age of Emma is obviously incorrect and was probably misunderstood by the census-taker who was not Norwegian.

In the 1880 census, he and his family live with his mother, Ingeborg Olstrom, age 78, in Warsaw Twp, Goodhue County, Minnesota. He and Sigrid have four sons: John, 13, Evem, 9, Garlik, 7, and Nels, 1. The two daughters must be living elsewhere.

John Estrum, aged 80 years, died at his home in Warsaw on Friday, December, 30. Deceased was born in Valders, Norway, in 1836. In 1857 he was united in marriage to Sigrid Leite. A year later the couple came to America, settling in Wisconsin. After remaining there for a time they removed to Warsaw, where they have since made their home. Ten children blessed the union, six of whom survive and are as follows: Mrs. Eberhart of Thief River Falls; Mrs. McCurdy of Minneapolis, Nels, Gilbert, and Evan, and Mrs. George Kolstad all of the town of Warsaw. Funeral services were held Tuesday. Rev. Hauge officiating, interment being made in Vangs cemetery.
