She was Mrs. Leo Boyle at the time of Robert Owen Bye’s marriage to Charlene MacKenzie in 1959.

Her father, Stanley A Boguslaski, died 15 January 1967.

An Evelyn Agn Boyle, b. 20 Jun 1909, died 22 April 1978 in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. Her husband’s name was Leo.

In the 1910 census, he and his wife and two children live in Richfield, Utah. Oscar is a laborer of odd jobs.

At the time that he registered for the draft in September of 1918, he lived on Santa Cruz Avenue in San Pedro. He was a ship’s carpenter working at the Fulton Ship Yard.

In the 1920 census, he and his family lived in San Pedro Twp, Los Angeles County. Oscar was a cement worker. Living with them was his wife’s sister, Mae Johnson.

He admitted to murdering his wife and her sister. He argued that he was driven to it and also that his wife’s sister was the cause of it.

His daughter testified that he was a drinker and a “non-producer” and didn’t support his wife or his family. Norma also testified that Oscar had “tried to attack my aunt” and that Oscar was always afraid that May would tell Norma’s mother.

In February of 1922, he tried to commit suicide in jail by repeatedly smashing his head against the iron bars of his cell. His cellmate said that Thompson was delusional and said that his wife wanted him to join him in heaven.

He somehow managed to avoid being hanged in California and ended up dying in Las Vegas on 1 Feb 1951. That Peter Oscar Thompson was born 13 Oct 1877 in Yuba City, Arizona, and was a retired construction worker. He died of a stroke precipitated by chronic alcoholism. His father’s name was Peter Thompson and his mother’s name was Maria Sorenson. The informant for his death certificate was Norma Alder (perhaps his sister). He was to be buried at Mt. View cemetery in San Bernardino.
